Born Te Kuiti, the heart of the King Country.
Here I am, Sally Shanks, an enigma. Passionate about colour and design. Honours degree at University in languages. Hoped to become an interpreter but didn’t. Still passionate about colour and design. Painted murals in London. Married a farmer. Lived on a station and drove local school bus (a proper big one). Still passionate about colour and design but add furniture. Opened “Staple Furniture” a show room and gallery of New Zealand made and designed contemporary furniture. Just the beginning I think!
